Weston History Bites: Recreate Historic Photos

Happy Museum Week 2020! Museum Week is an international celebration of museums and cultural organizations. Inspired by the Getty museum initiative (#ArtInQuarantine), today is the day to re-create a piece of art or an historic photograph using the people and objects in your home. Here are some historic Weston photos you and your family can re-create.

The first photo is of Jessie Kellogg Patchen of Weston in August of 1892 posing by her chair.

The second photo is of Clifford Patchen of Weston in August of 1892.

The third photo is of the Schneider family at Compo Beach in Westport in 1924.

The final photo is a group of theatrical ladies from the Weston-Westport area where the arts began to flourish in the 1920s.

Share your re-creations with us by tagging us Weston Historical Society or send them to us via email: info@westonhistoricalsociety.org if you want us to share them on our social media pages. Re-create as many of these photos as you want!
