Weston History Bites: Florence Banks

What was it like to teach in a one-room schoolhouse? Let's hear from former Weston resident and school teacher, Florence Banks. Florence was interviewed back in 1975 at her home on Norfield Road by Scott Hill. Florence was 80 years old at the time of the interview.

It was printed in the 1990 issue of The Chronicle.

The last image is of Florence outside the Middle District (Norfield) school with her students in 1917.

If you would like to read the entire interview where she also talks about her family, the article starts on page 4 of the 1990 No. 1 issue of The Chronicle.
