Annual Spirit Tasting 2018 – Rum

Saturday, April 21, 2018 7:30pm – 10:00pm

Weston Historical Society

A Diageo “Rum Ambassador” will present the Rum tasting, and give a history of this unique blend first distilled on sugarcane plantations of the Caribbean in the 17th century. In addition, Diageo will provide mixed drinks, and a selection of wines and craft beer. Marcia Selden Catering & Events will cater the event with an array of hors d’oeuvres, bar bites, and desserts.

The cost is $70 per person and can be purchased here or at the door. The tasting will benefit the society’s preservation work and support its educational programs and upcoming exhibits.

The Rum Tasting will feature fabulous silent auction prizes, including a private cocktail party for 20 catered by Marcia Selden Catering, a round of golf for four at Aspetuck Valley Country Club, and two Jet Blue airlines tickets to anywhere in the world. Plus, there will be a special prize of Diageo’s premium Zacapa Rum. Bring your friends! The event is open to the public (adults over 21).

Diageo, a global leader in beverage alcohol with iconic brands in spirits, beer and wine, has its North American business headquarters in Norwalk, Connecticut.

Weston Historical Society activities and exhibits are supported by Fairfield County Bank, Cohen & Wolf P.C., and KMS Partners at Coldwell Banker.
