In the early 1900s, Weston's roads were unpaved which made driving a car dangerous if the dirt roads had large potholes. Back then, cars didn't travel as fast as our cars can today. However, our cars are safer, especially because they have seat belts and air bags. Cars back then didn't have either of those safety features.
Families who did have cars back then enjoyed Sunday family drives. The third puzzle is from 1917 and shows the Schneider and Hohn families driving down Lyons Plain Road on a lovely Sunday afternoon.
