Old Mill Road about 1867. This mill was built by a Mr. Davis in the late 1700s. Later operated by and known as Carver's Mill. In addition to sawing lumber for the farmers, the grist mill on the left side of the building ground the rye, corn and wheat for local farmers. Frank Cobb bought the mill and, after a succession of owners, it became the Cobb's Mill Inn in 1934. |
