The Weston Scare Fair has been a community tradition in one form or another since 1989. It began as a Scarecrow contest, developed into the annual Halloween Fair run by the Historical Society, and in 2010 the Weston Girl Scouts joined forces with the Historical Society and have now made the fair their own as a family partnership fundraising event to support the Weston Girl Scouts and the Girl Scouts of Connecticut. This is a family-themed Halloween event for children of all ages. Costumes are encouraged.
The morning of the fair the Weston Girl Scouts transform the Historical Society grounds into a Halloween wonderland. The Girl Scouts create a spooky atmosphere in the antique barn for the more adventurous guests. There are a wide variety of games, crafts, activities, moon bounce, cupcake and cookie decorating as well as the Weston Senior’s Craft Bazaar in the main Barn. There will be a Silent Auction with many creative baskets designed and donated by the troops, and a wide variety of merchant and individual donations.
Please join us on Saturday, October 25th from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Weston Historical Society’s beautiful grounds. Admission is free, game and craft tickets are 50 cents each and there will be food available for purchase from Valencia Luncheria.
