Weston Historical Society Presents: Life in the Sixties
And We Need Your Help!
The Weston Historical Society is asking your help in gathering material for an upcoming exhibit that tells the story of the 1960s, including what life was like here in Weston during that iconic decade.
If you have any sixties era souvenirs, photographs, unique clothing, concert memorabilia, posters, record jackets, advertisements, old newspapers, as well as Viet Nam uniforms, local sports team uniforms and other artifacts, please consider loaning them to the society. Email us at: email@example.com.
The exhibit committee is looking for some specific items, including:
- Rotary and touch tone phones
- Woodstock memorabilia
- 1960s record players
- Games & Toys (Twister, Bongo Board, Operation, Chatty Kathy, Easy Bake Oven)
- Technology (transistor radio. Polaroid or Brownie camera, typewriter)
- White Go-Go boots
- Bell Bottoms
If you or any of your friends and family lived in Weston and/or attended Weston schools in the 1960s, we would like to talk to you!
If you would like to loan materials, or tell us your story, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Emails should include name, phone number, a description of the object and a photograph if possible. Items can be submitted through March 10, 2018.
