We hope you were among the more than two thousand people who attended or benefited from one of the record number of programs and events we presented this past year:

  • Our popular and highly regarded World War I Commemoration Exhibit, with its accompanying films and lectures. Among the participants were high school students who received extra credit for their attendance.
  • The “Landmark Homes of Weston” tour and exhibit, featuring seven notable houses illustrating four centuries of architectural achievement as well as our agricultural, industrial, and cultural heritage.
  • Classroom initiatives that enhanced class instruction over a wide range of grade levels as well as special children’s tours of our historic Coley Homestead.
  • The recent “Civil War Encampment and Exhibit” featuring military drills, camp activities, games with period toys, and a demonstration of period rifle firing presented by the 14th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry Company F.

You undoubtedly already know the contribution the Weston Historical Society is making to preserve the town’s history and making it come vibrantly alive in the present. That it is among Weston’s great cultural treasures. What you may not know is that it is private support—financial gifts from individual donors such as you and your friends—that makes all this possible.

Please help us keep history alive by making a contribution today to your Weston Historical Society.

If you are not already a member, please consider joining as well.

The Weston Historical Society welcomes your long-term financial support as it is essential for achieving our mission to preserve our heritage for future generations.

Please contact us if you would like to learn of our memorial or tribute giving plans.
